Reflexions

From-Me-To-We

Session Synopsis

Participants: ~50 freshly minted lawyers
Client: Tier 1 law firm of the country

Desired Outcomes: sending out a soft-message regarding self-regulation; managing emotions and stress in a high-pressure environment; and equipping them with people-readiness, to help finding their space in the larger scheme of things

Session Design and Flow:

The thematic was Me> Team > Organisation

So, the first half of the program was designed to go inwards. After briefly setting context and obtaining participant buy-in, Riti Menda took over.

We began with “Life Canvas” as a self-introspective, exploratory tool. Followed by “Traffic Jam” for discovering EI, and then connecting that with workplace scenes.

Here, Life Canvas was used for the “Me” part, while Traffic Jam beautifully connected it to the “Team” segment.

The first-half culminated with a moment of reflection using 3-2-1.

For the last , “Organisation” bit-
“Caricature” proved to be an effective tool that brought the entire day to a crescendo, and tied the 2 day induction program together.
Here, we prepared a 100% customised deck of cards, of attitudes, qualities, attributes and behaviours. We split the participants into 4 groups. Each group first worked on segregating them as “essentials” and “non-essentials” of a young legal professional. And then, they designed a metaphorical design to explain their stance.
But here comes the twist!
After the individual (team-level) designs were explained, the twist was to find a connecting link that could link all 4 pieces together.

And here’s the part thats my personal favourite!
To sum up the big-picture, I created these cute little “contracts” aka Articles of Professional Allegiance. The sheer stun and delight on the faces of the participants and the client sponsors alike was what made all the going the extra mile worth it. (Swipe through to find out) it also doubled up as the perfect momento to take back, for the participants.

And, the feedback and learning wall said it all.

So, so proud of the way this panned out and landed, if I may say so myself.

Gratitude to our client/sponsors who’ve trusted us over the last two years, repeatedly. For the free hand, support, and complete trust in our work and designs. Grateful for the repeat trust, for the opportunity, for all the stakeholders involved who make working a breeze. Grateful to my stellar team of cofacs Riti Menda, Palak Jain Shalaka Jadhav & Mital Khobarekar!
